Enjoy an amazing Hawk Walk in the beautiful North Somerset countryside, just 3½ miles west of Bath. This is your opportunity to experience some of the most majestic birds of the natural world and to gain an insight into the historic art of falconry, for thousands of years the sport of Kings, Queens and the nobility.

When you arrive at our private aviaries at Newton St Loe you’ll be greeted by one of our experienced falconers who'll introduce you to our birds and take you through a short familiarisation session and a Health and Safety briefing to ensure your experience is rewarding, safe and enjoyable.

Newton Park estate offers us a choice of flying locations. All are open fields and involve a short walk. Please wear suitable footwear and dress for a country walk (see also ‘Important Information’ below).

When we arrive at the flying location you'll be given a demonstration of how to stand and how to call the Hawk to you safely. You'll also be encouraged to practice some easy-to-learn falconry techniques suitable for ‘beginners’. The rest is up to you and we'll encourage you to enjoy yourself as much as possible. The whole experience lasts for between 60 and 90 minutes, and during the time we'll explain the bird's flying and hunting techniques and answer any questions you may have.

Please be aware that Birds of Prey eat raw meat (we provide protective gloves for those who might be a bit squeamish). Our birds eat a measured amount of food each day, so if you feed them too quickly or more than one piece at a time, the session may finish earlier.).
